Don't be surprised to find yourself thinking about Galileo or the constellations when this task lamp is perched on the desk. Aptly named the Voyager, the "shade" is a slender anodized aluminum tube with a round light at one end that looks just like a modern telescope. The cylinder perches between two chrome poles and pivots with the help of the shade wand at the end. For steady support, a thick support post attaches to a weighted round base. The lamp comes with a 20-watt halogen bulb and measures 6-3/4 inches in diameter by 26 inches high. --Kara Karll Each Voyager lamp has anodized aluminum finish with chrome accents. The adjustable thin tube shade can be directed using the shade wand. Parallel chrome rods provide the frame from which the shade pivots. Very cleverly placed push-button on/off switch at top of the lamp pole. Each uses one 20 Watt MR-8 halogen bulb (included). 26 Maximum height, 6.75 Diameter flat base. Pole: 11.5 Height, 1.25 Diameter. Pivot rods: 12 Length. Shade: 11 Length, 1.25 Diameter.
